Crypto gaming has soared in popularity over the past 12 months with games like Axie Infinity (AXS) and Splinterlands taking centre stage. Battle Infinity is a new play-to-earn project hoping to make its way up the ranks.

Instead of just one game, Battle Infinity is looking to host a variety of different titles that will be playable in its own metaverse.

But the project is still new and has not released any of its planned products at the time of writing on 30 August 2022. This has not stopped its native IBAT token from surging.

What is battle infinity (IBAT)?

Battle Infinity is a new crypto gaming project that is looking to take advantage of the niche industry’s surge in users and investments. It plans on developing and hosting multiple play-to-earn games where users are rewarded with cryptocurrencies.

It is also diving into the metaverse sector with its own virtual world where investors can interact and watch live games taking place.

 Its whitepaper said:

“Battle Infinity integrates gaming with the metaverse and blockchain, providing a completely decentralized experience that gives users and creators direct ownership of their in-game items in an ecosystem that is completely transparent and tamper-proof.”

Jagjeet Jena is the India-based chief executive officer and co-founder of Battle Infinity. While little is publicly known about his previous experience,  Suresh Joshi is the other co-founder and comes from a gaming background. Located in London, Joshi was previously the paid media manager at the gaming company Catena Media.

Battle Infinity: An ambitious ecosystem

There is an entire ecosystem of products that are planned to be released by Battle Infinity. Yet, at the time of writing, investors are still waiting for the launch dates.

Battle Swap is the platform’s decentralised exchange (DEX) that allows users to swap between the native battle infinity (IBAT) token and other cryptocurrencies. This will be integral for players to convert their winnings into other currencies.

Meanwhile, the Battle Market is a different type of exchange that allows the buying and selling of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Whether its characters or weapons, all gaming items will be stored as NFTs, using the BEP-721 standard. Investors are then able to swap these assets on the marketplace.

Finally, the platform’s virtual world is going under the name IBAT Battle Arena. Every user will have their own avatar, which are customisable through purchasable NFTs listed on the Battle Market.

The IBAT cryptocurrency

IBAT is Battle Infinity’s utility cryptocurrency, which is secured on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as a BEP-20 token. It was designed with various use cases in mind, including as a means of payment for gaming assets and as a reward for players.

Every player will need to be staking a predetermined amount of IBAT to access Battle Infinity’s games. Out of this, 5% is charged for the “foundation development” and another 5% is taxed for the global staking pool that is dedicated for rewards.

Its documentation warned: “Ninety percent of the staked amount goes to the winner of the game in which the IBAT has been staked, as is required for the entry pass.”

Battle Infinity price prediction round-up

While the coin’s young nature means there were not many IBAT price predictions at the time of writing (30 August 2022), there were still some optimistic forecasts.

The Business2Community battle infinity price prediction for 2022 said: “Given the tremendous hype around the coin, we could see IBAT head to the $0.0050 level by the end of 2022.”

The website’s battle infinity crypto price prediction went on and said it could have reached $0.01 by the end of 2023 and $0.2 region in 2025.

PricePrediction provided a more gradual forecast. Its battle infinity price prediction for 2025 suggested it could have climbed to $0.018 that year, from $0.006 in 2022. By the beginning of the next decade, it sugested it could have averaged $0.11 by 2030.

When considering a battle infinity coin price prediction, it’s important to keep in mind that cryptocurrency markets remain extremely volatile, making it difficult to accurately predict what a coin or token’s price will be in a few hours, and even harder to give long-term estimates. As such, analysts and algorithm-based forecasters can and do get their predictions wrong.

If you are considering investing in cryptocurrency tokens, we recommend that you always do your own research. Look at the latest market trends, news, technical and fundamental analysis, and expert opinion before making any investment decision. Keep in mind that past performance is no guarantee of future returns. And never trade with money that you cannot afford to lose.

The difference between trading assets and CFDs
The main difference between CFD trading and trading assets, such as commodities and stocks, is that you don’t own the underlying asset when you trade on a CFD.
You can still benefit if the market moves in your favour, or make a loss if it moves against you. However, with traditional trading you enter a contract to exchange the legal ownership of the individual shares or the commodities for money, and you own this until you sell it again.
CFDs are leveraged products, which means that you only need to deposit a percentage of the full value of the CFD trade in order to open a position. But with traditional trading, you buy the assets for the full amount. In the UK, there is no stamp duty on CFD trading, but there is when you buy stocks, for example.
CFDs attract overnight costs to hold the trades (unless you use 1-1 leverage), which makes them more suited to short-term trading opportunities. Stocks and commodities are more normally bought and held for longer. You might also pay a broker commission or fees when buying and selling assets direct and you’d need somewhere to store them safely.
