ProShares Ultra QQQ Company profile

ProShares Ultra QQQ (QLD) is an exchange traded fund (ETF) launched on 19 June 2006 by ProShares Advisor, a unit of ProFund Group which is a provider of a diverse mutual funds offering.

The ETF aims daily investment returns that are double the daily performance of the Nasdaq-100 Index before fees and expenses. The index reflects companies across major industry groups including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, retail/wholesale trade and biotechnology.

The fund invests in financial instruments that ProShares Advisor believes will deliver daily returns consistent with the fund’s investment goal when used together. In combination, they should have similar daily price return characteristics to the fund’s benchmark.

The fund’s top two holdings are Apple Inc (AAPL) and Microsoft Corporation (MSFT). The fund is non-diversified.

ProShares is based in Bethesda, Maryland, US. It manages a range of investment funds, specialising in exchange traded funds (ETFs) with more than $60bn in assets. Launched in 2006, ProShares is known for its leveraged ETFs and inverse funds.
