Microvast Holdings Inc. (MVST) designs, develops and manufactures lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and materials.
Founded in 2006, the company is headquartered in Stafford, Texas. It operates in 28 countries, including major cities like Berlin, London, Huzhou and Singapore, and has three production locations worldwide.
Microvast leverages its cell technology to manufacture battery systems for electric vehicles and energy storage systems including lithium titanate oxide, lithium iron phosphate, and nickel manganese cobalt.
Additionally, Microvast’s vertical integration capabilities enable it to serve customers’ battery solutions ranging from core battery chemistry (cathode, anode, electrolyte, and separator) to cells, modules and packs. The batteries can be used from personal cars to bigger commercial vehicles like buses, trains, mining trucks, marine and port applications and also light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
In 2021, the Microvast merged with Tuscan Holdings Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), listed on the NASDAQ.
