Metropole Television SA is a France-based audiovisual company that specializes in the production, distribution and marketing of television (TV) programs. It operates in three sectors: the M Six Channell, including M6, a TV channel, which broadcasts a range of programs, such as news, sports, documentaries, dramas, soap operas and films; TV Rights, involved in the audiovisual support, acquisition activities, management and distribution of film rights to disseminate to a wider audience, theatrical distribution and video sales, among others, and Digital TV, which provides TV broadcasting through the Internet. In addition, it offers Internet cashback and discount coupons through iGraal. The Company operates through numerous subsidiaries, including Studio 89 Productions, Oxygem, M6 Publicite, Metropole Production and Fidelite Films SAS, among others.
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, Metropole Television SA revenues increased 9% to EUR1.39B. Net income applicable to common stockholders increased 2% to EUR280.9M. Revenues reflect Digital Television segment increase of 18% to EUR1.09B, Radio segment increase of 7% to EUR157.1M. Net income was partially offset by Sale of Subsidiaries decrease of 55% to EUR55.2M (income).
