Metro Holdings Limited is a Singapore-based holding company. The Company is engaged in the business of management and property investment. It operates through two business segments: property investment and development, and retail. The property development and investment segment are involved in the leasing of shopping and office spaces owned by the Company and investing in property-related investments. The retail segment is involved in the business of retailing and operating of departmental stores. The Company has interests in approximately 564,000 square meters of retail and office investment properties in gateway cities in the People's Republic of China, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, as well as Singapore, London, and Australia; two Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) in Warwick and Bristol, the United Kingdom, with 391 en-suite beds and 44 studios and over 335,000 square meters of residential and mixed-use development properties held for sale.
BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2021, Metro Holdings Limited revenues increased 11% to SP$40.8M. Net income decreased 7% to SP$18.3M. Revenues reflect Retail segment increase of 40% to SP$35.3M, Asean segment increase of 12% to SP$37.5M, Peoples' Republic of China segment increase of 2% to SP$3.3M, Retail Sales, Total increase of 40% to SP$35.3M. Net income was offset by Property segment income decrease of 35% to SP$6.3M.
