iShares MSCI All Country Asia ex Japan ETF Company profile

The fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the index. The index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization index designed to measure equity market performance of securities from the following 11 developed and emerging market countries or regions: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. AAXJ is somewhat unique in that it includes significant exposure to countries across all development levels, from emerging China to quasi-developed South Korea and Taiwan to developed Hong Kong and Singapore. As such, this ETF could be useful for investors building an Asia-centric portfolio, and has the potential to be appealing as a means of implementing a short-term play or as establishing a longer-term tilt towards a region that might be expected to outperform global equity markets.
