The PFTS Index is a benchmark index of PFTS Ukraine Stock Exchange, the leading bourse in Ukraine. Calculated since 1997, it is widely recognised and closely tracked by the international financial community.

The PFTS Index has been the official index of Ukraine in the S&P Emerging Markets since it was created on October 1, 1997. Companies listed on the index include Centerenergo, Motor Sich and Ukrnafta.

What you need to know about the PFTS index.

The PFTS Index is a capitalisation-weighted index that's disproportionately weighted towards the industry sector, with many of the companies listed on the index specialising in the extraction and processing of raw materials. The rest of the total weight of the index is accounted for by the services industry. The PFTS Index reflects the current condition of the Ukrainian securities market, with the calculation of its values performed in real time. Other Ukrainian bourses include the UX Index of the Ukrainian Exchange and the Ukrainian Average Index 50.
