Rosenstein has earned a degree from Lehigh University in 1981 and in 1984 he received a masters in Business Administration from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Through his fund, Rosenstein has been an activist investor in PetSmart, Walgreens, Safeway and Ashland amongst others. As of April 2017 he, along with a handful of other investors, held the second largest shares in the company Whole Foods.
