Société Générale can trace its roots back to the 1860s, making it one of France's oldest banks.

As a multinational group, the bank's interests aren't confined to France. Since it's one of the largest banks in Europe, you'll often see its branding on the high streets of major cities, or in places like newspaper adverts.
