Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust (ASL) is a UK-based investment trust, targeting investments in smaller companies. It was established in December 1990 and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange ever since. The Aberfth. Smll. Co share price is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. The trust aims to make greater returns than the Numis Smaller Companies Index by investing in a variety of small UK-listed companies. Its current chairman is David Shaw.
As stated in the company’s annual report, the total shareholders’ funds hit over £1.4 billion in 2017.
