The Hong Kong 50, or the HS 50 index, tracks the performance of 50 most liquid stocks with large cap listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The index is free-float, with a 10% limit on weighting for one member. The companies on the HS 50 index are divided into four sub-indices: commerce & industry, finance, properties and utilities. Launched in 1969, the index is reviewed quarterly to adjust its composition.
