What you need to know about Fundrise.
Through the platform, relatively small sums of money from a large number of investors are pooled to help property developers finance projects.
Fundrise currently offers two products: eREITs and eFunds. eREITS give opportunities for investment in commercial and rental properties, including high-profile developments. eFunds are an opportunity to invest in funds dedicated to the development of single family housing in cities such as D.C. and Los Angeles. Investors can invest as little as $1,000 in an eFund.
Fundrise is promoted as an alternative to investing in the stock market, especially for small-scale investors. As with any investment, there are risks and fees involved which you should study before making an investment decision.
