Nano Dimension is an Israel-based company that makes machines for fabrication of additively manufactured electronics (AME). The company provides 3D printing machines used to produce products used in the aerospace, defence, medical, automotive and industrial sectors.

According to Nano Dimension, the company’s products combine three advanced technologies: 3D inkjet, 3D software and nanomaterials. Nano Dimension’s flagship product DragonFly IV is a multi-material 3D printer for fabrication of high-performance electronic devices. According to Nano Dimension, the DragonFly IV cannot print semiconductors but the printer can print electro-mechanical devices, capacitors and coils. The company’s FLIGHT software provides design solutions in the 3D space to ensure product designs comply with printer requirements. Nano Dimension also provides cooperative design and fabrication services called NaNoS for developing high-performance electronic devices known as Hi-PEDs.

As of February 2022, the US military, America-based defence contractor L3Harris Technologies and Germany-based security electronics firm Hensoldt are some of Nano Dimension’s defence sector clients.   

The company’s American depositary receipts (ADR) were listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange in 2016 under the ticker NNDM. According to the company, each ADR represents 50 ordinary shares in Nano Dimension. In 2020, Nano Dimension voluntarily delisted its shares from trading on Israel’s Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Nano Dimensions was founded in 2012. Yoav Stern is the current chair and chief executive of Nano Dimensions while Zivi Nedivi resides as the president of the company. The company has four offices which are located in the US, Germany, Hong Kong and Israel. Its headquarters in Florida, USA, serves as the company’s main sales, customer support, logistics and training centre.
