Limoneira Company is an agribusiness company. The Company is primarily engaged in growing citrus and avocados, picking, and hauling citrus, and packing, marketing, and selling lemons. Its operations consist of fruit production, sales and marketing, rental operations, real estate, and capital investment activities. It operates through four segments: fresh lemons, lemon packing, avocados and other agribusiness. The Company markets and sells lemons directly to food service, wholesale and retail customers throughout the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe and other international markets. It also operates its packinghouses in Santa Paula and Oxnard, California and Yuma, Arizona, where it processes, pack and sell lemons that it grows, as well as lemons grown by others. The agribusiness division includes operations of farming, harvesting, lemon packing and lemon sales operations. The rental operations include residential and commercial rentals, leased land operations and organic recycling.
BRIEF: For the three months ended 31 January 2022, Limoneira Company revenues increased 3% to $39.3M. Net loss applicable to common stockholders increased 53% to $6.6M. Revenues reflect Lemon Packing segment increase of 22% to $6M, Avocados segment increase from $0K to $766K, Fresh Lemons segment increase of 1% to $29.6M. Higher net loss reflects Fresh Lemons segment loss increase from $207K to $2.6M.
