JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc is an investment trust company. Its objective is to maximize total return from emerging markets around the world through a diversified portfolio of underlying investments. It invests in a diversified spread of countries, industries and companies. It invests primarily in quoted securities in emerging stock markets and may invest in unquoted securities. Its investment policy is to invest in a diversified portfolio, concentrating on countries and shares, and also to invest approximately 50% of its assets invested in any one region, and to invest over 15% of gross assets in other the United Kingdom listed closed-ended investment funds. It invests in a range of sectors, which includes financials, information technology, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, communications services, industrials, materials, energy, healthcare, real estate and utilities.
