This is a stock market index made up of 25 funds that trade on Euronext Amsterdam, previously known as the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

Where have you heard about AScX index (Small Cap)?

You might have heard of it if you follow the European markets. It's a relatively new index, set up in 2005, and like other small cap indexes it includes firms with a relatively small market capitalisation.

What you need to know about AScX index (Small Cap).

This index is made up of the 25 Dutch funds that are ranked 51-75 in size. Those ranked from 1-25 are covered by the AEX index and those ranked 26-50 are included on the AMX index. The AScX index follows the same rules as these indexes, with firms selected on their value of turnover and weightings assigned on the basis of free float market capitalisation. The composition of the AScX is reviewed twice a year.
