The Intel Corporation (INTC) is an American global producer of computer components. Founded in 1968 by the scientists Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, the company employs more than 107,000 people around the world.

Intel is one of the world’s largest and most valuable semiconductor chip manufacturers. It operates through eight divisions: Client Computing Group, Data Center Group, Internet of Things Group, Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group, Intel Security Group, Programmable Solutions Group, All Other and New Technology Group.

Intel deals with developing and producing platforms, microprocessors, chipsets, flash memory, security software products, programmable semiconductors and related products for a wide range of markets.

Intel went public on October 13, 1971 at a price of $23.50 per share or 2.0 cents adjusted for its 13 subsequent stock splits. The Intel stock price reached its all-time high of $74.88 on August 31, 2000. According to its latest earnings report, Intel reported a strong Q4 2019 with revenue growth of 8 per cent. The company met Wall Street expectations thanks to strong growth in its Data Center division.

He added: “One year into our long-term financial plan, we have outperformed our revenue and EPS expectations. Looking ahead, we are investing to win the technology inflections of the future, play a bigger role in the success of our customers and increase shareholder returns."
