UK Stocks-Factors to watch on November 4
Nov 4 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening down on Wednesday, with futures down 1.2%.
* BARCLAYS: Barclays BARC.L maintained its Brent price forecasts for 2026 and 2027, and said oil markets may be underestimating upside price risks as optimism over US-Iran talks shows little evidence of a significant diplomatic breakthrough.
* UNILEVER: Unilever ULVR.L will overhaul its operating model and cut €1 billion ($1.12 billion) in costs by the end of 2029, it said on Tuesday.
* OIL: Oil prices slipped in early trade on Wednesday as investors awaited the results of the US midterm elections and their potential impact on peace talks in the Middle East, even after industry data showed US crude stocks unexpectedly fell last week.
* GOLD: Gold prices rose on Wednesday, supported by a softer US dollar after Democrats scored early wins in the US midterm elections, while investors awaited the non-farm payrolls data later this week for clues on the Federal Reserve's policy path.
* METALS: Copper ticked down on Wednesday as the previous day's broad risk-off mood continued and US midterm election results kept coming in.
* FTSE 100: Britain's FTSE 100 registered its steepest one-day drop in a month on Tuesday, pressured by miners and bank shares, ahead of US midterm elections and this week's Bank of England interest rate decision.
