By Reuters News

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening down on Tuesday, with futures down 0.3%.

* CYBERSECURITY: Britain should be prepared for an AI-powered cyberattack on its critical national infrastructure in the next two years, the UK's National Cyber Security Centre said on Tuesday, adding that China was likely the best equipped to conduct such operations.

* OIL: Oil prices edged up on Tuesday after a report that the United States had struck Iran's Qeshm Island, raising concerns about an escalation of the eight-month conflict and prolonged disruptions to Middle East oil supplies.

* GOLD: Gold prices ticked lower on Tuesday, after surging more than 2% in the previous session on a drop in oil prices that eased inflation concerns, while investors awaited the outcome of US midterm elections later in the day.

* METALS: Copper fell on Tuesday as risk-off sentiment swept through industrial metals markets ahead of the US midterm elections, while a weaker yuan added pressure by making dollar-priced commodities more expensive for buyers in top consumer China.

* FTSE 100: Britain's FTSE 100 rose for the fourth straight day on Monday as a sharp drop in oil prices lifted broader risk appetite, with investors awaiting the Bank of England's interest rate decision this week.
