Oct 22 (Reuters) - Turkish energy producer Zorlu Enerji ZOREN.IS is seeking bondholder consent to defer a $60.5 million coupon payment on its eurobonds, it said in a public filing on Thursday.
The coupon is due on October 23, and Zorlu said it wants to move it to April 23, 2027, while adding temporary restrictions to the bonds’ terms and conditions.
The company has $1.1 billion of eurobonds outstanding, according to LSEG data.
Zorlu Enerji is a unit of Zorlu Holding, whose electronics arm Vestel Elektronik VESTL.IS has detailed a turnaround plan as its debt restructuring talks continue.
