Arab Finance: The Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank) and Mastercard have entered a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the growth of digital payments in Egypt, according to an emailed press release.

Both sides will leverage their services to expand access to innovative, secure, and rewarding payment experiences. This collaboration will support EBank’s goals to scale its portfolio of debit, credit, and commercial cards, reaching new customer segments.

EBank will advance its payment ecosystem and reinforce its market presence by utilizing Mastercard’s technologies, insights, and capabilities, including tokenization, fraud prevention and risk management solutions, loyalty programs, and other value-added services.

In this regard, EBank customers will access more secure and seamless payment experiences and card offerings better tailored to their specific needs. These offerings will be designed to suit various customer segments and spending patterns, featuring periodic discounts, special offers, and other benefits aligned with their lifestyles and business transactions.

This agreement reflects EBank and Mastercard’s shared commitment to driving digital transformation, fostering innovation, and enhancing payment solutions.

In October, the EGX-listed bank signed an agreement with the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) to strengthen cooperation and improve the competitiveness of Egyptian exports in international markets.
