Saudi dairy company Almarai has invested SAR 500 million ($133 million) to diversify its portfolio and expand into the red meat market.

The firm confirmed on Tuesday the launch of its new beef brand Haboor, marking its entry into a new food segment and moving beyond its traditional food and beverage lines.

The move aligns with Almarai’s 2026-2031 growth strategy, which seeks to invest in promising new categories.

“This will broaden consumer choice and meet the growing demand for high-quality meat products,” Almarai said in a disclosure to Saudi Exchange.

The financial impact of the new investment will be reflected in the company’s results starting from the fourth quarter of 2026.
