- SoftBank Group 9984.T is discussing joining a $50 billion investment plan in Malaysia focused on artificial intelligence and data centres, Nikkei Asia reported on Monday, citing a call between Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son last week.

SoftBank is expected to contribute only a portion of the total, with project financing and other sources likely to be used to fund the investments, the report said.
