Monks Investment Trust (MNKS) is a closed-ended equity mutual fund founded and managed by Baillie Gifford & Co Ltd. Established in 1928, it was one of the three trusts incorporated by a group of investors headed by Sir Auckland Geddes. Today, the fund invests in public equity markets worldwide. Headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, it targets investments in stocks of companies operating in various business sectors with above average earnings growth across diversified market capitalizations. It tracks its portfolio performance against the FTSE World Index. The Monks Investment share price is listed on the London Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE 250 Index.
