W.Africa Crude - TotalEnergies and ENI offer cargoes
LONDON, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Congolese and Angolan crude was on offer in the Platts window on Thursday, while in the wider market Angola's October-loading cargoes have yet to sell out in a sign of tepid demand as record shipping costs continued to weigh on West African crude differentials.
TotalEnergies offered a November 19-20 cargo of Djeno at dated Brent minus $9.95 in the Platts window on Thursday.
Eni offered a Hungo cargo with November 19-20 dates in the window at dated minus $2.70.
Between three and four Angolan cargoes for October loading were still unsold, according to one trader's estimate, above the usual volume that has yet to find a buyer at this point in an average trading cycle.
The cost of shipping oil in the largest tankers, including on West Africa routes, has hit record highs following increased attacks on shipping in the Middle East.
"Freight is really crazy now," a trader said. "It's an issue for long-haul WAF cargoes."
Not many of Angola's November cargoes have sold yet, the trader added.
