ANKARA, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Thursday.
The lira traded at 49.0350 against the U.S. dollar at 0221 GMT, after closing at 49.0175 on Wednesday.
The BIST 100 index closed 2.79% lower at 11,947.18 points on Wednesday.
PARLIAMENT REOPENS
President Tayyip Erdogan makes a speech at the opening of parliament's new legislative year (1100 GMT). Erdogan will then attend a meeting of his AK Party in Ankara (1300 GMT).
PMI INDEX TRPMIM=ECI
The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) will publish the September manufacturing industry purchasing managers index (PMI) data, compiled by S&P Global (0700 GMT).
ISTANBUL INFLATION
Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will release the September inflation data for Turkey's largest city (0900 GMT).
CENTRAL BANK DATA
Turkish central bank will publish weekly money and banking data, including foreign exchange reserves and securities transaction figures (1130 GMT).
FUND CRISIS
Turkey's banking watchdog BDDK said on Wednesday the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) would take over shareholder rights in three investment banks and two factoring companies involved in the country's fund crisis. Separately, Turkish authorities ordered the detention of 34 more suspects as part of an investigation into alleged market manipulation and funds, Justice Minister Akin Gurlek said on Wednesday.
