Toyota's US sales rise marginally in third quarter on hybrid demand

- Toyota 7203.T reported a marginal bump in third-quarter US sales on Thursday, benefiting from demand for its hybrid vehicles amid soaring gasoline prices.

Quarterly sales of its Corolla hybrid rose nearly 36% to 13,003 units from a year earlier.

Overall sales rose to 633,223 units during the quarter, compared with 629,137 units a year ago.
