Middle East Crude-Oman, Dubai premiums rise on supply disruptions
SINGAPORE, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Spot premiums for Middle East crude benchmarks Oman and Dubai rose on Wednesday, as some refiners scrambled for barrels following latest supply disruptions.
Oil loadings at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea port of Yanbu were suspended, shipping industry sources said on Tuesday, days after the world's biggest crude exporter closed its East-West pipeline due to an attack by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis.
Saudi Arabia was offering additional crude cargoes via Oman, according to sources, easing concerns about the scale of Middle East supply disruptions.
Japanese refiners Eneos and Idemitsu Kosan bought Oman crude. Some of the oil cargoes bought on a free-on-board basis were priced at a premium of about $25 per barrel to October Dubai quotes, trade sources said.
Indian Oil Corp IOC.NS bought 4 million barrels of crude from the Middle East and Africa for November arrival in a tender, trade sources said on Wednesday.
