ISTAT issues September consumer and business confidence data (0800 GMT) and September preliminary inflation data (0900 GMT)


COMPANIES

ENI ENI.MI

The energy company said on Tuesday its low-carbon unit Plenitude would offer households a 30% discount on its normal fixed electricity and gas rates, with prices locked in for two years.


STELLANTIS STLAM.MI

The Franco-Italian carmaker will pause production at three of its French factories for at least a week, the automaker said on Tuesday.


UNICREDIT CRDI.MI

Berlin expects the Italian bank to make clear commitments on jobs and Germany as a business location, government sources said on Tuesday, as UniCredit moves closer to taking control of Commerzbank.

UniCredit is optimistic about the outcome of talks with the German government over Commerzbank, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.


BANCO BPM BAMI.MI

S&P on Tuesday upgraded the northern Italian bank's long-term issuer rating to BBB+.


BPER Banca EMII.MI

S&P on Tuesday revised the Italian lender's outlook to 'positive' from 'stable'.


JUVENTUS JUVE.MI

The Turin-based club said on Tuesday it had posted a net loss of €66 million euros in the year ending June 30, and proposed a capital increase of up to €250 million with support from its main shareholder Exor.

POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI, TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI

The boards of both companies meet following the closure of the postal service's bid for Italy's former phone monopoly with a take up of around 86%.


GENERALI GASI.MI

The board of Italy's largest insurer meets to consider the possible incorporation of its unit Alleanza.
