German union demands 6% pay increase at country's private banks

- German labour union Verdi said on Monday that it would demand a 6% pay increase for employees at the country's private banks in upcoming wage negotiations.

The wage increase would be for employees of some of Germany's most prominent banks, including Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.
