German bank union wants UniCredit to engage with workers on Commerzbank deal

By Reuters News

- German bank union DBV on Wednesday called on UniCredit CRDI.MI to make the case to Commerzbank's CBKG.DE workforce for planned changes as part of its takeover of its German competitor and said the Italian bank was so far falling short in doing so.

"Only a workforce that is genuinely convinced and on board will be able to successfully shape the future. UniCredit still has a long way to go in that regard," said Marcus Bourauel, a DBV official and Commerzbank works council member.
