China's HUTCHMED climbs as AstraZeneca applies for US cancer drug approval

** Shares of HUTCHMED (China) 0013.HK climb 4.1% to HK$23.1, their highest level since September 4

** Stock on track for its biggest one-day pct gain since September 21

** HUTCHMED said on Tuesday that Anglo-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca AZN.L had applied to the US Food and Drug Administration for approval of the ORPATHYS-TAGRISSO combination to treat patients with advanced lung cancer

** ORPATHYS is being jointly developed by AstraZeneca and HUTCHMED and is commercialised by AstraZeneca

** YTD, HUTCHMED's Hong Kong stock up 11%, Hang Seng Biotech Index .HSBIO up 14%
