Australia's Cleanaway rises after EQT re-confirms buyout deal

** Shares of Australia's Cleanaway Waste Management CWY.AX rise as much as 3.1%, their biggest intraday pct gain since September 14

** Shares hit highest level since September 24

** Waste management firm says Swedish investment firm EQT AB gives written re-confirmation for the buyout deal

** Says nothing has arisen in due diligence review that is likely to affect the potential deal

** Adds that EQT will proceed with the potential deal for consideration no less than the indicative offer price

** Co says EQT is continuing its confirmatory due diligence and parties are working towards negotiation and execution of the proposed deal

** In August, CWY said it would grant EQT Infrastructure, a unit of EQT AB, exclusive due diligence after receiving an A$9.4 billion ($6.53 billion) offer

** YTD, stock up more than 2.5%

($1 = 1.4386 Australian dollars)
