Sypris Solutions, Inc. (Sypris) is a provider of truck components, oil and gas pipeline components and aerospace and defense electronics. The Company produces a range of manufactured products sole-source contracts. The Company operates through two segments: Sypris Technologies and Sypris Electronics. Through Sypris Technologies segment, it supplies forged and machined components, servers the commercial vehicle, off highway vehicle, recreational vehicle, automotive, industrial and energy markets in North America. It produces drive train components including axle shafts, transmission shafts, gear sets, steer axle knuckles, and other components for use by the automotive, truck and recreational vehicle manufacturers. Through Sypris Electronics segment, it provides its customers various value-added solutions, from low-volume prototype assembly to high-volume turnkey manufacturing. Its manufacturing contracts for the aerospace and defense electronics market are sole-source by part number.
BRIEF: For the nine months ended 03 October 2021, Sypris Solutions, Inc. revenues increased 16% to $71.6M. Net income decreased 12% to $2.5M. Revenues reflect Sypris Technologies segment increase of 41% to $47M. Net income was offset by Sypris Electronics segment income decrease of 27% to $1.6M, General, Corporate and Other segment loss increase of 1% to $3.2M. Basic Earnings per Share excluding Extraordinary Items decreased from $0.13 to $0.12.
