PetIQ, Inc. is a pet medication and wellness company. The Company is delivering veterinary products and services. The Company operates through two segments: Products and Services. The Products segment consists of its manufacturing and distribution business. The Services segments consists of veterinary services and related product sales provided by the Company directly to consumers. The Company offers its products in a range of categories, including Rx Medications, OTC Medications and Supplies, and Health and Wellness Products. Its Rx pet Medications includes heartworm preventatives, arthritis, thyroid, diabetes and pain treatments, antibiotics and other specialty medications. The Company distributes a range of Rx medications, which include Nexgard, Heartgard Plus and Vetmedin. OTC Medications and Supplies include flea and tick control products. Its Health and Wellness products include specialty treats and other pet products such as dental treats and nutritional supplements.
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, PetIQ Inc revenues increased 20% to $932.5M. Net loss decreased 81% to $16M. Revenues reflect Products segment increase of 14% to $825.4M, Services segment increase of 97% to $107.1M. Lower net loss reflects Other expense (income), net increase from $571K to $1.9M (income). Basic Earnings per Share excluding Extraordinary Items increased from -$3.36 to -$0.57.
