Lakeland Industries, Inc. manufactures and sells a line of safety garments and accessories for the industrial and public protective clothing market. The Company's product categories include limited use/disposable protective clothing, high-end chemical protective suits, firefighting and heat protective apparel, durable woven garments, high visibility clothing, and glove and sleeves. The Company's products are sold by its in-house customer service group, its regional sales managers, and independent sales representatives to a network of over 1,600 North American safety and mill supply distributors. These distributors, in turn, supply end user industrial customers, such as integrated oil, chemical/petrochemical, utilities, automobile, steel, glass, construction, smelting, munition plants, janitorial, pharmaceutical, mortuaries, and high technology electronics manufacturers, as well as scientific and medical laboratories.
BRIEF: For the nine months ended 31 October 2021, Lakeland Industries, Inc. revenues decreased 25% to $91.6M. Net income decreased 63% to $10M. Revenues reflect Disposables segment decrease of 34% to $53M, Chemical segment decrease of 23% to $19M, Hi-Vis segment decrease of 4% to $3.5M, United States segment decrease of 34% to $36.5M, Asia segment decrease of 45% to $22.4M, Canada segment decrease of 38% to $6.8M.
