CPI Card Group Inc. is a payment technology company. The Company provides comprehensive financial payment card solutions. The Company segments are Debit and Credit, and Prepaid Debit. The Debit and Credit segment primarily produces financial payment cards and provides integrated card services to card-issuing banks primarily in the United States. Products manufactured by this segment primarily include Europay, Mastercard and Visa (EMV) and non-EMV financial payment cards, including contact and contactless dual-interface cards, and plastic and encased metal cards, and Second Wave payment cards featuring a core made with recovered ocean-bound plastic (ROBP). The Prepaid Debit segment provides integrated card services to prepaid debit card providers in the United States, including tamper-evident security packaging. The Company also provides services, such as card data personalization and fulfillment, and tamper-evident secure packaging products and services.
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, CPI Card Group Inc revenues increased 20% to $375.1M. Net income before extraordinary items decreased 2% to $15.9M. Revenues reflect U.S. Debit and Credit segment increase of 18% to $296.2M, U.S. Prepaid Debit segment increase of 25% to $79.2M. Net income was offset by Selling/General/Admin. Expense increase of 15% to $75.7M (expense), Depreciation & Amortization increase of 2% to $6.3M (expense).
