Zijin Mining Group Company Limited engages in the exploration, mining, processing, refining, production, and sale of gold, other non-ferrous metals, and other mineral resources in Mainland China. It primarily produces gold bullion; gold, copper, zinc, tungsten, lead, and iron concentrates; and copper cathodes, zinc bullion, vitriol, copperplate, silver, tin, etc. The company owns 226 mining rights covering a total area of 744.92 square kilometers; and 188 exploration rights covering a total area of 1,860.81 square kilometers. It is also involved in the development of real estate properties. The company was formerly known as Fujian Zijin Mining Industry Company Limited and changed its name to Zijin Mining Group Company Limited in June 2004.
