Support for vulnerable clients

Trading affects people differently. For some, the pressure spills over into other parts of life — relationships, sleep, financial decisions outside the markets. If that sounds familiar, this page is for you.

Some signs to be aware of: trading with money you can't afford to lose, spending more time on the markets than you intended, neglecting risk management, fixating on losses, or using substances to cope with the stress of trading.

Your vulnerability risk

Vulnerability can affect anyone, regardless of experience. We're here to support any client who raises a concern or shows signs of difficulty.

Common indicators include risking the financial wellbeing of yourself or family members, chasing losses with larger positions, going into debt to fund trading, or concealing trading activity from family.

You may want to ask yourself:

  • Is trading affecting my sleep, diet, or physical health?
  • Is it affecting my relationships?
  • Am I using medication or substances to manage trading stress?
  • Is my sense of self-worth tied to trading outcomes?
  • Have I had thoughts of self-harm connected to trading losses?

If any of these apply, you can contact us in confidence. Everything you share will stay between you and our support team.

What happens if you’ve become vulnerable

Our systems monitor for behavioural signals associated with vulnerability. If your account activity raises a concern, one of our agents may contact you to discuss it.

We can't detect every situation. If something has changed in your trading behaviour and you need support, contact our team directly. You don't need to wait for us to reach out.

Temporary or permanent account suspension is available at any time. If you'd prefer to step back from trading while things stabilise, we can arrange that. We can also connect you with external resources if that would help.

Was there a mistake?

Accounts are sometimes flagged in error — for example, if your declared wealth information is out of date. If you've been contacted and believe this is a mistake, let our support team know and we'll resolve it.
