By Reuters News

- WestJet pilots were conducting an entry-into-service validation flight with a Boeing BA.N 737 MAX in 2024, when they uncovered an anomaly linked to the jet's flight computer software that was deemed safe by the Federal Aviation Administration on Friday.

The Canadian carrier was the first to report the anomaly to Boeing with supporting data, according to the memo to pilots on Friday seen by Reuters, after the FAA concluded a Corrective Action Review Board on the issue.
