US energy stocks rise on little sign of progress in US-Iran talks

** U.S.-listed shares of energy companies gain premarket, tracking rising oil prices O/R

** Brent crude futures up 1.8% at $104.8 a barrel and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rise 1.6%, at $93.6 a barrel

** Oil prices rise as diplomatic talks between the US and Iran showed little sign of progress, while investors focused on uncertainty about a potential US ban on diesel exports

** Top oil majors ExxonMobil XOM.N and Chevron CVX.N each rise ~1%

** APA Corp APA.O adds 1.4%, Occidental Petroleum OXY.N and Diamondback Energy FANG.O each up 1.3% respectively

** Oilfield services providers Halliburton HAL.N and SLB SLB.N each jumps ~1%

** Refiners are also in the green as Marathon Petroleum MPC.N and Phillips 66 PSX.N each gain 1.1%
