Sierra Space taps L3Harris executive as CFO
Oct 26 (Reuters) - Sierra Space on Monday named L3Harris LHX.N executive Daniel Gittsovich as its chief financial officer.
The maker of satellites, spacecraft and orbital infrastructure for government and commercial customers was valued at $8 billion in March, up over 50% in three years amid investor bets on rising defense and space spending
The appointment comes days after Bloomberg reported the sudden exit of predecessor Jeff Schrader, as the company pivots heavily toward national security and defense contracts
Gittsovich joins the Colorado-based company from defense giant L3Harris, where he most recently served as CFO of its Missile Solutions business
He earlier spent over five years at industrial manufacturer 3M MMM.N in strategy and business development roles, including in its Safety & Industrial unit
Before that, he worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank DBKGn.DE, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Bentley Associates, advising clients across the aerospace, defense, industrial and transportation sectors
