Saudi Arabia's Etihad GO Telecom Company (GO) announced on Sunday that it has awarded a contract worth 185.9 million Saudi riyals excluding VAT ($49.52 million) to Total Technical Triangle Company (3T) for the supply and installation of infrastructure for a cloud artificial intelligence (AI) data centre.

The 12-month contract covers the supply, installation and deployment of technical infrastructure, including advanced computing systems from Dell Technologies equipped with NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs), GO Telecom said in a stock exchange statement.

The scope also includes servers, supporting systems and technical licences required to operate and manage the data centre.

Total Technical Triangle is an authorised partner of Dell Technologies.

The project will support GO Telecom's expansion into AI and cloud computing services for public- and private-sector customers through its business division.

The company said the investment formed part of its strategy to expand digital services and diversify revenue streams.

The announcement did not disclose the data centre's location, planned computing capacity or power requirements.
