Q8 Italy cuts fuel prices by 20% for farming, fishing sectors until end-2026

ROME, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Kuwait's Q8 said on Tuesday that its Italian unit would cut the pre-VAT price of diesel and gasoline by 20% for customers in the agriculture and fishing sectors until the end of December.

• The move responds to government calls for measures to support key food supply chains, the group said in a statement

• It aims to ease energy costs for farmers and fishing operators, to ensure continuity of food supplies and limiting the impact on households, it added

• The measure follows Q8's decision to maintain a price cap on fuel sold to motorists through the end of the year

• The group said it would define the details of the discount scheme taking into account market developments and supply conditions

• Italy's ENI ENI.MI also introduced a 20% discount for farmers and fishers last month
