New Polish fuel price cap will cost around PLN 5 bln, minister says

- A new fuel price cap package in Poland will cost the budget around five billion zlotys ($1.29 billion) over the three month until the end of the year, Energy Minister Milosz Motyka said on on public radio on Friday.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki said on Thursday he signed a windfall tax bill which will be imposed on energy companies, allowing the government to reintroduce measure to lower fuel prices at the pump.
