Lindt seen falling after cutting full-year sales forecast

By Reuters News

** Lindt & Spruengli LISN.S shares are seen down 5-7% in pre-market indications after the premium chocolate maker cut its full-year organic growth forecast

** The Swiss company says subdued consumer sentiment, rising price sensitivity and soft demand amid a European heatwave hurt chocolate consumption

** It now expects organic sales growth of 0% to 2% in 2026, versus its previous guidance of 4% to 6%

** "Pricing power, long Lindt's trump card, is now being tested," Vontobel says, questioning whether the issue has become structural rather than a one-off

** The broker adds that a second cut within six months dents the company's reputation for reliable guidance

** By Monday's close, the stock was down nearly a third from its end-February level
