Grieg Seafood falls on harvest volume guidance cut

By Reuters News

** Shares in Grieg Seafood GSFG.OL dip close to 6%, hitting their lowest since March 2025, after the Norwegian salmon farmer cut its full-year harvest volume

** It now sees harvest volume at 29,000 tons vs 31,000 tons before, increased mortality due to an unexpected algae event causing gill damage

** It also revises its farming cost upwards, from 67.5 NOK/kg to 71.0 NOK/kg, but says the mortality will not impact production for 2027

** The total biomass loss associated with the event is estimated at about 1,000 tonnes, the company says

** Peers Salmar SALM.OL, Mowi MOWI.OL, Bakkafrost BAKKA.OL and Leroy Seafood LSG.OL are largely flat

** Including the session's losses, stock down about 42% YTD
