GameStop rises as CEO buys another $10.5 million of stock

** Video game retailer GameStop GME.N shares up 1.7% at $24.16 premarket

** CEO Ryan Cohen reveals the purchase of 447,000 of co's Class A stock for prices between $23.4753 and $23.4499 per share, roughly worth about $10.56 million - SEC filing

** Cohen's direct holdings now stand at 40.95 mln shares, representing a 8.12% stake in GME, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Previously this month, Cohen bought 1.15 mln shares worth $26.4 mln and an additional 1 mln in stock

** In August, GameStop made a non-binding $55.5 billion ($125/share) bid to acquire eBay, but eBay's EBAY.O board rejected the offer

** Co is trading at 13.03 times expected earnings over next 12 months, slightly above the industry median of 12.61

** Up to last close, stock up 18.33% YTD
