Finland's Nokia, ICEYE to explore sovereign satellite communications for Ukraine

Oct 22 (Reuters) - Finnish satellite operator ICEYE and telecom equipment maker Nokia NOKIA.HE signed a letter of intent with Ukraine's Defence Ministry to explore cooperation in space, the companies said on Thursday.

The proposed partnership will identify ways to support Ukraine's defense capabilities, particularly in building sovereign satellite communications.

The initiative was announced during a visit by Finland's prime minister to Ukraine on Thursday.
