CANADA STOCKS-TSX futures edge higher ahead of US inflation data
Sep 30 (Reuters) - Futures tracking Canada's main stock index edged higher on Wednesday as investors awaited key US inflation data that could offer fresh clues on the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.
December futures on the S&P/TSX index were up 0.1% at 06:33 a.m. ET (1033 GMT).
The US GDP and Personal Consumption Expenditures inflation reports due later in the day were expected to be the main market catalysts, with a stronger-than-expected inflation reading likely to extend the recent rise in global bond yields
Brent crude was on track for a monthly gain of about 14%, its biggest since July, as investors grappled with persistent supply disruptions in the Middle East.O/R
Gold prices also firmed, though the metal remained on course for a monthly loss as expectations of higher interest rates weighed on sentiment GOL/
